I haven't noticed any performance loss using Shadowplay. However for Rainbow Six: Siege I have to use Desktop mode which keep my GPU at a higher than idle clock and temps stay at around 50 degrees Celsius (idle usually is 28). That's the only game I've needed to use Desktop Mode.

Well, from my very brief testing of running benchmarks and using FRAPS in both Balanced and High Performance power plans, I didn't notice any change in game performance. Maybe though with more tweaking or in certain games people made find some improvements Doesn't really seem worth it though. I think I've found pretty much the same thing

DayZ: Increase your FPS/Performance efficiently. (20-30 fps boost) Edge Smoothing - Leave it Disabled or set it to whatever you like, it doesn't affect the performance too much. HDR Quality - Set it on Very low Ambient Occlusion - Disable it for a good FPS boost in open areas and cities (about 15-20 FPS).
